Hello.
My partner told me today that they saw the preheating light blinking for the second time in a few days while driving. Otherwise, everything seems normal.
The error memory indicates:
17970 - P 1562 - 35 00
Set point N146, upper limit.
Meaning according to the physician (Possible causes):
Quantity setting (N146) defective/blocked.
Upper limit reached.
Log data at standstill with 4 ignition cycles (engine slightly warm).
0.66 - 0.68 V or 4.42 - 4.44 V.
According to the specialist:
0.5 to 0.97 V or 4.15 to 4.74 V.
According to this, the values are within the expected ranges.
And now what? What could be the reason?
Wood chips in the VP (vacuum pump), temporarily hindering the MSW (main switching valve)? Current mileage = 96,000 km. The pump has never been opened before...
EDIT
A short test run with some wobbling in the pump cable harness, along with MWB1 logs, yielded no clues as expected. An active wobble in the rotor winding generator (RWG) area should, in my opinion, have resulted in noticeable stutters, speed fluctuations, and RWG voltage spikes in the log – but the motor ran smoothly like a clock.
I then proactively disconnected the pump connector (10-pin), applied a generous amount of silicone spray to all the contacts, and reconnected it. However, I have a feeling that this problem will likely recur sometime soon...
