Hi,
Has anyone ever retrofitted a cruise control system into a newer SEAT model?
Year of manufacture: November 1999. Engine: 90 HP (ALH?).
I already have the steering wheel control stalk, but I'm just missing the configuration on the control unit. Does anyone have any ideas about that?

Hello, you have mail. Please let me know if the pins/connectors fit.
Best regards, Rainer.

It was a long time ago, but I retrofitted it on both engines...
Both the ALH 66kW and ASV 81kW engines use the same engine control unit (ECU) configuration.
Don't be confused by the fact that you find two connectors at the engine control unit (ECU), while the wiring diagram shows an 80-pin connector... The connector is split; connector one goes from pins 1-56 (if I remember correctly), and connector two then goes from pins 57-80.
The cruise control functions perfectly with both engines, as long as it is connected correctly.
And here's the information: Neither in the ELSA documentation nor anywhere else can you find the wiring diagram for the ALH engine, for whatever reason. However, it is included in the documentation for the 1.9 TDI ASV engine with 81 kW, and it is completely identical.
Greetings.
George.
