Sure, here is the translation of the text from German to English:

"Hi,"

Years ago, I installed a Pierburg mass airflow sensor from a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter into my Audi A4 1.9 TDI, based on a recommendation. At that time, the prices for the original VW mass airflow sensors were exorbitant.
However, the characteristic curve is probably not supposed to be a perfect fit.

I was looking for an original part and found it at Bosch - it costs €60 new.

What do you think? Should we keep it or change it?

I can't give you a general answer to that. I can only tell you about my own experiences. I had a Passat 1.9 TDI PD AVF with 130 hp, and it had a Pierburg mass airflow sensor (MAF) from DC or MB. In the lower RPM range, it was so sluggish that I immediately replaced it with an original MAF sensor from Bosch. To put it briefly, it didn't work for me.
It seems like you haven't had any bad experiences with it, and if it's still delivering good performance, there's no need to replace it. However, if you think it might be failing soon, I would recommend sticking with the original Bosch replacement.

Regards,

Tobi.

Hi,

"There have been Pierburg mass airflow sensors (MAF) available for some time now, specifically designed for VAG vehicles that typically come with Bosch MAFs as standard equipment. The part number is 7.22684.08.0 and it has a General Operating Permit (ABE) for many VAG models. Unlike the DC-Pierburg sensor, this one is also legal."

I've had this thing installed for a few weeks now and I'm very happy with it – it runs again just like it should, across all RPM ranges.

Best regards,

January.

You're welcome.
"That's my grandpa's car – it doesn't need much power, and I've mostly been driving it on snow lately..."
Compared to my 3.2, it's not that fast anyway.

I will double-check the Pierburg part number and then possibly order the new Pierburg part.

Best regards, David.

I still have a Pierburg 7.22684.08.0 lying around. I only drove it for a maximum of 5 kilometers when I had it before.
As I mentioned before, the tiptronic transmission didn't work very well with my Porsche Design model.
Let me know if you want it.
