Hello.

What is the maximum acceptable cost for a ZR + WAPU switch, including materials, for a 1-zone system? (From a private individual).
Are there any experiences or guidelines available?

best regards
Peter.

It depends on the vehicle. The water pump is not necessarily critical for the engine's operation regarding the timing belt, as it is driven by the ribbed belt.
I've often seen pumps that have lasted 300,000 kilometers or more.

Organic material for VW engine (without water pump), approximately 150.-. Labor cost, approximately 3 hours.
"Material cost approximately 80.-, labor cost approximately 0.5 - 1 hour in addition."

hello

Thank you for the information.

Well, my car is about to reach 300,000 kilometers, so I think I'll just trade it in.
Are there any other parts that should be replaced at the same time as the timing belt? For example, any seals or gaskets?

best regards
peter

3 hours for a 1-bedroom apartment?

I also want to go to the workshop; it could be a quiet job. icon_wink.gif

150 euros for the materials is quite a lot.

The repair cost me around 100 euros for original parts.

If needed, we can also add V-belts or flat belts.

Working time: 1.5-2 hours. Honestly, not great.

For the Golf IV with an Alh engine, for example, things look different with a similar engine.

Sorry for being a know-it-all.

You have to decide that for yourself.
Good workers are rare, and worth 450.-. What's needed is attention to detail and expertise, not just the lowest price.
Should we negotiate the prices for illegal workers here icon_rolleyes.gif?

That's why I'm asking about the vehicle; for example, in a Sharan, it's exactly 2.5 STD.

For 100, you can get it for AAZ/1Y models.
Der Orginal Satz (mit automatischer Spannrolle)vom icon_biggrin.gif 028 198 119C kostet exakt 149,35EUR incl. VAT.
You can obviously get it much cheaper through the free market, but that wasn't the requirement, so we initially assume it's from OE.

I haven't been able to complete the Sharan with AFN in 3 hours. icon_redface.gif

What's crucial is the preparation, including using a bridge jack, etc. That makes things faster when everything is set up. Also, things like air impact wrenches are essential!
No offense, but what bothered me was the attitude.
I'm going to visit someone, and I want to know exactly how much it will cost beforehand.
Otherwise, the question should have been: "What is the deadline?"

I have an hourly rate, and an approximate time estimate based on Tec Doc. However, if a job takes longer, there's usually a reason: stripped screws, parts that can't be removed, bolts that have broken off. Additional work that only becomes apparent during the repair is also a factor. The point is: if you only focus on the estimated time and price, you're no better than a "friendly pieceworker" who doesn't care if something is wrong and just rushes to finish the job.
And maybe that overly inquisitive and time-consuming customer will also keep me busy?
Just stay relaxed.

The "price" is only "worth it" if it represents careful work, even if it may seem too expensive for you at the moment.

If you're really focused on making money, you've come to the right place. Dive in, learn everything you can, get help when you need it, and figure out how to do it yourself.
As quickly as possible icon_twisted.gif
Again, no offense intended. icon_biggrin.gif
Sure, here is the translation of the text from German to English:

"edit."

This is a simple command that tells the user to edit the text. It is often used in online forums or chat rooms.
"I've already swapped roles, so I'm now in the KKR position."
Yes, the water pump as well.
Sure, after the alternator, I also quickly spun it to check if the bearings were running smoothly.
Yes, just a little grease on the hinges and the lock.
and the clip for the rod was also new.
I noticed all of this icon_wink.gif as an afterthought.

Elsa says she plays golf for 1.9 hours.

My record is just over an hour, plus the time needed to adjust the pump settings. However, this is rarely necessary.

Things could be worse with the Sharan.
According to Elsa, it's 3.3 hours.

You can find the original parts for under €100 if you do a little searching.

It's not really that complicated. I would definitely pay close attention to the crankshaft bolt. It should be replaced with a higher-quality 12.9 bolt if necessary.

Best regards, efistho.
