Error 00550 - Injection start control, 08-00 (AKE)

Hello, it's me again.
I need some help with my car again (Audi A4 2.5TDi AKE).
Recently (currently, there are two threads further down), I had starting problems after the camshaft replacement. (Starting problems after camshaft replacement not possible (A4 2.5 AKE))
The car seems to be running okay again; I also adjusted the fuel injection timing (or at least, I think so, because there are several different "instructions" out there, and the problem seems to have gone away).
However, I'm still concerned about an error message that appeared.
Specifically, this issue seems to occur when the engine is warmer. The ABS/ESP warning light briefly illuminates and then turns off again. Often, there's also a lack of power at that time, and the following error code appears in the engine control unit's memory:

00550 - Start of Injection Control.
08:00 - Control limit surpassed.

"respectively" or "that is to say (in German, thanks to Google)."
00550 - Injection start control.
08:00 - Limit exceeded.

I also tried searching, but unfortunately I couldn't find anything specific about this error. Although the error appeared on the internet, it was preceded by another error related to the needle lift control, which I don't have (thankfully).

Does anyone have any ideas?

I would delete these errors and then wait to see if they reappear, because it was an intermittent issue.
I also had these errors, and in my case, these entries accumulated until I replaced the diesel filter, because that's why there were differences like you experienced – it was clogged .

Yes, I naturally documented the error and immediately deleted it. However, it reappears after every test drive...and specifically when the engine gets warm (before that, everything is fine).

In my case, it was definitely the fuel injector (Difi) that wasn't getting enough diesel, and that triggered the error message. I don't know of any other possible causes.

Okay, I'll take a look at that and keep an eye on it over the next few days.
I've now adjusted the fuel injection timing with the engine cold (I had read that the engine should be at 85°C)... and in my opinion, it has improved. At least, the ABS light is no longer on. The error code was once stored in the memory, but it seems to have disappeared for now.
I need to do some extensive test driving and re-scan the system.
I will get back to you with the results.
