Hello,
Here are some troubleshooting tips for the error below:
Control unit part number: 6X0 907 379 B.
Component or version: ABS 30 IE CAN V004.
Software coding: 06406
"One error found:"
00668 - Terminal voltage, terminal 30.
16-10 - Signal out of tolerance - Interrupted.
ABS control unit installed in: SEAT Ibiza 6K, VW Polo 6N/2, VW Lupo, SEAT Arosa and similar models.
UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES should you disconnect the connector on the ABS control unit. This control unit is known to have its contact pins corrode and break off when the connector is disconnected, resulting in the need for a new ABS control unit.
The cause of the above error is:
- Battery terminal clamps are corroded. Loosen all screws and retighten them. If necessary, verschandeln heavily rusted parts with a brush or replace them.
- Battery voltage too low (battery discharged or defective).
This allows you to avoid replacing the ABS control unit (which many workshops unfortunately recommend), saving around €800 in parts and labor costs.
Perhaps this would be suitable for technical articles? Or as a supplement to lists of error codes?
Greetings.
George.
