Okay, now it all makes sense. The starting problem wasn't due to the glow plug system, but to the injection timing!

The KW screw has come loose, and now my KW suspension is broken. The groove is worn out. This has already happened to me about 80,000 km ago. Back then, the Ford workshop spent about a week trying to find and fix the problem. Now I have to do the same thing again, as I no longer have a warranty, and nothing is covered under goodwill.

Hi,

First, my sincere condolences icon_question.gif. What exactly did the workshop do back then? Did they grind the KW or just replace the screw }?

Best regards, Christian.

At that time, the workshop replaced the crankshaft pulley, timing belt, timing belt, and idler pulleys. Unfortunately, there was only a 1-year warranty, and I've driven 80,000 km since then.

But this time, I'm going to do it myself, and that will definitely make it last. I read somewhere that you can grind down the KW (presumably referring to a component), if it's possible or necessary.

Best regards, Mike.

Hi Mike,

is guaranteed necessary icon_exclaim.gif Don't drive it anymore icon_exclaim.gif icon_exclaim.gif The stupid workshop seems not to have replaced the KW screw....look here:

Please check if you have the 12.9 screw installed (see link) icon_exclaim.gif.

Unfortunately, I can't access your homepage from my company's network; it's blocked. Could you please send it to me via email?

Thank you again...

Best regards, Mike.
