Connection for Mass/Longitudinal Beam

Affected Chassis Numbers:
WVW ZZZ 7M Z YV 999 284 - WVW ZZZ 7M Z YV 999 500 7M9 ...
WVW ZZZ 7M Z 1V 000 001 - WVW ZZZ 7M Z 1V 999 432

Cause:
On some Sharan vehicles within the specified chassis number ranges, there is a possibility that the mass cable attached to the front left longitudinal member could come loose. Hereby, this enables
the line to the instrument cluster may be damaged due to the increased transition resistance and the resulting heating.


Solution:
On all affected vehicles, the torque on the ground cable connection to the front, left longitudinal member must be tightened to 20 Nm.
