Hi.
Have I understood correctly that the swirl flaps (V157) are installed in the CAYx engine but not activated?
Are they stocked up for EU6, or did you just happen to have some on hand?
Can someone take a picture of the intake manifold?
Thank you.
Martin.

Hi,
Yes, I once took some photos of a CAY, and I think I saw something similar there as well. I'll try to find them for you .

Here are the pictures...
Regarding the current clamp: I was curious whether it uses piezoelectric elements or not. The devices look structurally similar to the "old" magnetic valve injectors from Bosch.

Hmm, you can clearly see the V157 in the first picture, but it's not clear if it's connected.
Okay, please provide the German text you would like me to translate into English. I will only provide the translation.

You're asking a little too late. If I still had it in the workshop, I could have connected an oscilloscope to see if it's being powered on correctly.

Yes, it's definitely connected, at least electrically. I can't tell you about the SW connection; I don't know yet how to access that on this Conti system...
I have marked the plug in the picture for you .

I still can't recognize the connector (it's my first time seeing a CAY).
Okay, well, it's possible that it's not being targeted.
The control signal could be seen in the diagnostic data.
At least, I can see my on/off swirl flaps there.
Unfortunately, the *.CLB files are not easily readable.

According to SSP 442, page 14, the motor V157 and potentiometer G336 are currently non-functional and not integrated into the self-diagnostic system.

Oh, changing the valve cover gasket there is definitely going to be a lot of fun.
Sorry for the off-topic comment.

Why would you need to replace the valve cover gasket? The timing belt is changed every 300,000 km (as far as I know), and the valve cover doesn't necessarily have to be removed at the same time.
Besides that: a valve cover gasket on a VW doesn't usually leak .

Okay, I seem to have been mistaken – but surely there hasn't been a CR-TDI engine with a 300,000 km service interval for very long?

Our 1.6 CR TDI engine in the Octavia 4x4 with 105 horsepower... I don't recall the engine code right now.

I can't find a Skoda Octavia 4x4 with a 1.6 engine; I only find the CAYC version with two-wheel drive and a 210,000 km service interval.
