Hello, I need your help. Someone in my circle of acquaintances has a vehicle with the issue mentioned. The owner replaced it due to various problems with the throttle position sensor (I can't say whether the gears were defective or simply dirty, as I wasn't/aren't present), and is now experiencing persistent errors. Well, that's understandable, and I would have expected that.
I somehow fear that he might show up at my door tonight, so I want to be prepared. Does anyone have the correct procedure for pairing, in bullet points? I know this is a dumb question because I've never done it before. I guess you start by clearing any errors, if possible. Then, maybe delete the adaptation channels and re-pair them from the default settings...

Hi Matthias,
So far, in these situations with my vehicle, I haven't had to do anything more than simply swap the part and clear the error codes, then take it for a test drive.
Deleting learning data won't break anything, and we can be sure of that.
Best regards, Rainer.

I would also like to check under "Login" (11). In various engines, it seems to go through there.

Hello,
Okay, the error seems to have been found. He didn't replace the entire intake manifold with the motor, but only the motor itself. The error remains the same. "If you now tilt the motor forward a few millimeters, the actuator test passes, and the system is error-free. I've reviewed everything again:
The shaft has some play and seems to act as a "stopper," but it goes beyond its intended limit by about 2mm. I checked the old motor, connected it, and simulated the stopper: it also works perfectly. I temporarily created a stopper using an M4 screw. After that, a longer test run worked flawlessly. I took a picture, but I need to send it later. If that's the solution, it explains why VW only offers the intake manifold with a swirl flap as a package for over €300. It needs to be checked whether the flap is sealed when closed (and whether the end stop position is correct?). However, there's a lot of oil residue and carbon buildup in that area, so it's probably never completely sealed.

Class Is there anything wrong with moving the topic to the error database?
Best regards, Rainer.

Waiting to see if:
1. actually lasts longer.
2. The valve reaches its fully closed position (although I'm not entirely sure yet whether a misalignment of, for example, two degrees would cause a problem...).

It's still working, so I'd say that after approximately 4,000 km, the "Fackelmethode" (likely a specific procedure) can be considered acceptable. I'll write something for the error database, or let me know how we should proceed.
