Golf IV hanging driver's door (latch at the top)

Hello dear synthesizer enthusiasts


I have a loose driver's door on my Golf IV (3-door model). The top rail has seen better days.

Now, it's a joke what one would have to do to change it. The cover plate needs to be removed in order to release the screws inside.

The Schanier itself has a door-mounted Torx screw (I think it's E.

Does anyone have an idea how I can fix it without having to remove the control panel?

No Way! It just has to come out, unfortunately, and there's nothing we can do about it.
