Hi,

My wife's Seat Arosa (year 2000) has a frustrating feature: if you unlock the car and don't turn on the ignition within a certain amount of time, the central locking system automatically locks the car again.

Is this function easy to disable?

No, not through software; that's a theft prevention feature.
