Hi everyone.
Is it fundamentally possible to disable the automatic locking feature on an Audi A6 4B (C5 model year 2002)?
After a short time (approximately 30 seconds), the car will automatically lock again if it was opened remotely and the driver's door is not then opened. It can be really annoying when, for example, you open the back door, put your bag and keys inside, close the door, and then walk to the driver's side... (I wonder where I learned that).
I would like to disable this function. Can it be done individually?
I would like to keep the other functions of the central locking system, such as the remote closing feature.
Best regards, |

You can't disable it; simply repair the corresponding door lock, and the problem won't happen again. MfG. Michael

Hi.
"Thank you, I had already suspected that based on my own research. I haven't been able to find anything that quite fits the bill."
Looks like it's time to fix some locks...
Thank you and greetings. |

First, we need to determine who is affected... then, perhaps we can just repair that one (the one on the left rear). |

Here's a simple tip for testing: If a door doesn't turn on the interior light, it also won't prevent the door from being locked again. |

When I open the rear door, only the reading light in the front turns on, but not the one in the back. Is that normal?
All the door locks are new. |

Does your Octavia do the same thing? It might be normal behavior. Touran 5T1 / DFGA / TGV; Fabia 6Y5 / BNV / GGV |
