Hello
Today, the temperature here was almost -20°C. My Audi was parked outside all night. This morning, I immediately preheated it twice. However, it didn't start until about 5 seconds later? Lately, it seems like it's taking a little longer to start. I've already read out the error codes. The error codes don't show any issues with the glow plugs? Are there even defective glow plugs stored in the memory for this model? Or should I replace the glow plugs after a few years as a standard procedure? Currently, I have approximately 85,000 km on the odometer, manufactured in June 2012.
Thank you for your tips...! Audi SQ5 8R Cvub

born in 2007, German market, 2.0L engine, PPD TDI. Do the light bulbs get worse over time? Should I replace them periodically, even if there are no errors in the error memory?
Thank you for your help!
Best regards

After 85,000 km, it shouldn't be that bad.
PPDE - Has it been cleaned or replaced? MfG. Michael

HI,
The PPDs were cleaned at approximately 77,000 km at VAG. Performance has since been restored. I will add another 5 liters of fuel injector cleaner to the tank, hoping that it will prevent them from clogging so quickly...

In welcher Region waren denn vergangene Nacht -20°?
My Touran, manufactured in 2005, with now 91,000 KM and the 140 PS TDI engine, still starts perfectly - at least when it's cold (although I do experience the warm-up difficulties). |

I'm having the same problem! No errors in the memory, but it's jumping around by about 2 degrees, which is really bad. Same engine, etc. 100,000 km on it. I had the PD elements replaced in December. |

Hi
140PS-PPD-TDI, what's up? I thought the PPD parts were only for the 170PS engines? |

My information is that PPD only occurred in 170PS (MKB: BRD) engines in the A4 8E.
I have the 140hp (MKB: BPW, 8V) engine and I only have 'standard' PD (direct injection) injectors.
Also, the BLB engines (16V 140PS) also do not have a PPD. |

Search
I always thought that PPD = 170 horsepower.
But there were indeed 140er PPDs.
