Hello everyone!
Who can help me with this? I drive a Golf IV and I have a short, bright cracking sound in the passenger door when starting, braking, and going over bumps. I've already lubricated the bracket in the B-pillar, but without success.icon_evil.gif
Thanks, Markus.

Hello Markus!

Before my A6, I also had a new Golf IV. In the spring, as it got warmer, both front doors started to creak when starting, braking, and driving over uneven surfaces. As far as I know, there are two possible causes for this. In my case, it was the door hinges, where the grease probably leaked out due to the heat. I also believe there were issues with the lock, which can also cause creaking. If I remember correctly, VW sometimes replaces this part free of charge under warranty?

Regards,
DENNIS

Ich fahre mitlerweile den zweiten Golf IV und beide hatten auch das Knacken in den Türen beim anfahren und bremsen. For both Golf models.
It was the door handles that the VAG dealer then provided free of charge.
were changed.

P.S.: Greasing won't help. You can try wrapping the latch with a thin layer of electrical tape, but it probably won't last long.
I would replace them immediately; the parts aren't particularly expensive.
