Has anyone had any experience with chip tuning from *** in Kempten?

Or perhaps with other chip tuners? (********, ***, Oberscheider, etc.)

Okay, one thing upfront: if the name 'AH-Tuning' came to mind, forget about it! They only produce garbage.
Otherwise, I can wholeheartedly recommend: ********, Digital-Racing, ***, and I believe Nowack-Tuning is also good. This doesn't mean that the companies not mentioned are bad; it just means I don't have any experience with them.

Two years ago, I had a chip installed in my Golf IV 115PS TDI PD by ***. It was very affordable at the time because they were having a 'special offer week.' I paid DM 1200, including the TÜV registration!
The difference from the standard version was not insignificant. The driving pleasure was even better than before .

BUT:
Die Kupplung machte leider durch die, beim Beschleunigen von unten raus, schnell ansteigende Drehmomentkurve etwas Probleme. Die Schlüpfte hin und wieder im Bereich von 1800-2000 U/min. Es trat erst am ca. 50.000 km (davon 20.000 mit Chip) auf. Es war, wenn man bisschen aufpasste kein größeres Problem, die Drehzahl machte nur hin und wieder einen kleinen Satz um ca. 200 U/min nach oben und fing sich sofort wieder. Ob es schlimmer geworden ist, kann ich nicht sagen, da ich den Wagen inzwischen verkauft habe.
However, I had previously inquired with Sachs. They told me that it was possible to obtain a kind of 'reinforced' clutch from them.

CONCLUSION: I would definitely go to *** again. The service was okay! The work was completed in a few hours. During that time, you can easily take the bus to the beautiful city center of Kempten .

Hello, I have an MTH chip installed in my AJM engine. They've been developing everything themselves since the early 80s and sell their software to other chip tuners. I've been a customer of theirs for many years and have always been very satisfied. After the tuning, the engine runs much smoother, more evenly, and with less vibration. When the engine is warm, there's no more knocking during driving. You can feel significantly more power throughout the entire rev range, and the maximum speed is also noticeably increased and reached much faster. Additionally, the engine responds more spontaneously to acceleration. The fuel consumption has remained the same.

I now have the second ******** chip installed; first it was a 90 HP version, and now it's an AHF with 110 HP.
I've had similar experiences with the clutch. At 2,000 RPM, after some mileage and with a chip installed, it started to slip slightly. It was replaced free of charge, and now it's holding up fine.
The driving performance is very good, and the difference compared to the standard version is significant. I haven't noticed any increase in fuel consumption.
The service is also very good; they have excellent staff.
I think other tuners can do that too. I would choose someone located near me. That way, you can always go there if there's a problem. It also makes the installation process easier.

I've also installed the second chip from Digital-Racing, and I can only agree with my predecessors regarding the quality. Through individual tuning and several test drives, the engine electronics were adjusted to my specifications each time. So far, I haven't noticed any negative aspects (almost no soot, no hesitation, etc.). However, in my first car (a Golf 3 TDI 90hp, 1Z), I suddenly had no power at higher gears/higher RPMs with the chip installed. After a long search and a visit to a rather mediocre VW workshop, the mass airflow sensor (MAF) was replaced, and the problem completely disappeared. So, I'm very satisfied with the chips. Especially considering the performance, the price is really excellent.
