A4 B6 (AVB) Troubleshooting Guide

Hello!

I'm new here and looking for a solution to a problem with my Audi A4 B6 (AVB).
Unfortunately, no can help any further; several visits to different specialized workshops have been unsuccessful.
In my opinion, the B6 engine feels like it's lacking power, mainly in the lower RPM range, and sometimes only manages to reach 100 km/h. There are some unusual engine control unit (ECU) behavior patterns, see attachments. The EGR valve is new, as is the solenoid valve. The intake manifold pressure sensor is also new. The turbocharger has been disassembled, cleaned, and the variable turbine geometry (VTG) linkage is working smoothly. The error memory is also empty even after many test drives.

Hi,
The engine speed is quite high, and the target air mass is not being achieved.
At full throttle, the overboost is significant, and it's being limited by the smoke reduction system despite almost reaching the maximum boost pressure, likely due to a "lack of air." I would try replacing the mass airflow sensor (MAF).

Thank you for the quick message! The Passat was/is also available with the AVB, that's correct!
One of the many connected a new mass airflow sensor last year, tested it, compared it, and then reinstalled the "old" one, saying, "Unfortunately, it's not working either!"
Are there any reference values for this, or wouldn't there be something recorded in the error memory?
