With a 99.9% certainty, it will be the fuel line bundle from the diesel filter to this air pump. However, it extends further from there. Theoretically, after a prolonged standstill, you should see one or more air bubbles in the short, transparent section of the line. As a temporary solution, manual bleeding will help, but in the medium term, the fuel line bundle needs to be replaced. So far, it is only available as a complete OEM part, including the inlet and outlet lines as well as the air pump. Please have a seat before we tell you the price of the replacement part!
The cause of the chafing is that the wiring harness is rubbing against its holders in two places due to vibrations from the engine. Before assembly, one could slide a piece of hose over the diesel lines at the corresponding points, but then they wouldn't fit into their holders. With some ingenuity, it should be possible to prevent the chafing or to secure the wiring harness in some other way without using the original holder. However, you would have to build something yourself. The lines are also difficult to access and not easily visible. Therefore, no one does anything proactively because they don't see the need.
Considering the price of the spare part and the relatively small additional cost for installation, it's worth considering having a trusted (Peugeot) workshop handle the job. Automobile Zeitzeugen: |SUZUKI Swift Sport (2008)| |Smart 450 (2002)| |Honda CB 125 F (2018)|
