Relays in fan and climate control for stand heaters?

Good evening, dear diesel enthusiasts!

I am currently installing an Eberspächer auxiliary heater in my Bora (MKB: ATD; with manual climate control).

Here's the translation:

I'm having a problem: Why does the attached manual for the Klima Wagen still state the need for a 2nd? Are relays used? (see Figure 4)

I would now only supply the fan via the relay, as shown in Diagram 3. What is the disadvantage of this?

Hi Findus!
So wie ich das sehe, wird mit dem 2ten Relais verhindert, das die Klimaanlage quasi eingeschaltet wird. Also auf jeden Fall wird so der Schalter AC nicht leuchten (sofern betätigt) und eventuell hättest du ansonsten auch das Problem, das die Kühlerlüfter angesteuert werden (je nachdem, wie die Elektronik die hinter dem VW Schalter hängt bestromt wird.
ICH hatte bei meinem Polo 6NF nur ein Relais in Verbindung mit einer Webasto TT-E zu verbauen. Aber wie gesagt...schau nach, wie deiner Fahrzeugseitig hinter dem Schalter verkabelt ist!
