Hello,
I've been having a problem with my Touran for days now.
The exhaust diagnostics program indicates:

P2100 Throttle control actuator - circuit open.
P2102 Throttle control actuator - low voltage in the engine circuit.

At first, I thought the problem was related to the engine wiring harness; however, after replacing it yesterday, I tried to clear the error code today and realized that it likely has a different origin.

Since this error is likely not occurring only on my system and has already been discussed in the forum, I would appreciate it if you could tell me what keywords to search for. Thank you.

Please explain why you replaced the wiring harness. Were there any other problems?
Has the error already been fixed, and is it reappearing immediately?
What does that thing do in the actuator diagnostics?

''Please explain why you replaced the wiring harness. Were there any other problems?'
Has the error already been fixed, and is it reappearing immediately?
'What does that thing do in the actuator diagnostics?'

Switched because: The Touran occasionally jerked, especially when towing a trailer.

Further issues: Upon closer inspection, I think the engine hesitates slightly when idling; in my opinion, this is related to the intake manifold control valve.
Could it be referring to the 'throttle valve'?

Deleted: The error reappears immediately, yes!

I can't perform the actuator diagnosis myself; I have to wait until Thursday to take it to the dealership.

The intake manifold valve and the throttle valve are the same thing in the EURO4 standard.
The previous ones don't have a throttle, so the butterfly valve in the intake manifold was only there for parking (i.e., not used).

Disconnect the pipe at the front of the valve.
Start the engine.
Engine off - now the flap needs to close.
and then turn on again 2 seconds later.

Well, since I didn't get a response: today I took the thing out and removed the cover.
The gears are all still in good visual condition, and the door opens and closes easily, both with and without the spring mechanism. I've flushed out some oil using a fine oil.

The fuse F8 in the engine compartment fuse box, located on the right side behind the relay when facing it, has blown. I'll replace it tomorrow and then see what happens afterward.

Otherwise, I'll just disconnect the throttle connector.

Can the speed limiter be disabled?

No, it's related to exhaust emissions.
You won't be able to experience the HU successfully without it icon_exclaim.gif.

Fuse replaced, error cleared.

Motor 3 mal angelassen und wieder abgestellt. Error gone.

Engine revved up, error reappeared, fuse blew.

Debugging:

Replaced the 15A fuse (a tip from a friend, who has been using this for a year**). The problem disappeared.

Power output at 10 amps: 120 watts; at 15 amps: 180 watts.

Which consumer requires up to 180 watts instead of a maximum of 120 watts due to some kind of wear and tear?

I myself probably wouldn't have come up with the idea of simply installing a larger fuse, because the fuse sizing from the manufacturer already has its purpose. I only did it because another Touran has been running like this for quite some time without problems. Otherwise, I certainly don't think that this type of solution is professional! icon_wink.gif

Do you know which ones are actually connected behind the fuse in question?

Besides a regular consumer, it could also potentially be a short circuit fault: either something is sparking somewhere in the wiring harness, and/or another consumer is drawing (additional) power through the aforementioned fuse icon_confused.gif.

So, are you serious about the fuse replacement thing? If you replace it with a weaker one, it will just blow again. You'll need to put in a stronger one instead.

Repairing essentially means finding the root cause, not just addressing the symptoms.

If it were my car, I would already go buy a new throttle body module... icon_wink.gif

In light of my efforts:

Nachdem sich das Auto in letzter Zeit zum Groschengrab entwickelt, ist es mir eigentlich auch recht, wenn ich die Symptome erfolgreich bekämpfen kann. Dieses Auto ist nicht mein Liebling, sondern mein Arbeitsgaul! Und ich weiß, ich bin knickrig; eigentlich sollte ich einfach die Kohle hinlegen und das Teil neu machen lassen. Aber dann würde ich nicht hier im Forum drüber schreiben, oder? AuBesides, I now have some time for such trivial matters; in the summer, I probably would have already had that part replaced.

Subject:

Since the fuse doesn't blow when the throttle valve is disconnected, I think the DC motor is likely the main culprit. The radiator fans are also connected to that same fuse.

The 15A fuse did not solve the problem.

Today, I received a throttle valve where some teeth are missing at the beginning of the ten-segment section. I installed a different stop so that the area with the broken teeth is no longer engaged.
I intend to try fitting this DKM part into my car tomorrow and see if it works.
Does the throttle body module need to be programmed/calibrated?

'Thank you!'

Wenns mein Auto wäre würde ich schonmal ein neues Drosselklappenmodul kaufen gehen... {icon_wink.gif}
This idea has also occurred to me! icon_biggrin.gif icon_wink.gif

Hey icon_wink.gif

This thing costs about the same as a full tank of gas.

Do it again and it'll be perfect!

m;

What kind of large tank do you have? icon_eek.gif icon_wink.gif

icon_cool.gif I ordered it; I should receive it tomorrow; I also ordered a mass airflow sensor at the same time, which is also brand new.

Thank you!

Nevertheless, this topic doesn't leave me in peace.
Can someone tell me how to remove the throttle shaft without damaging anything?
