Hi there,

'In the last few days, I've been looking for a decent online forum for the VW Passat 3BG. Mostly, you find forums that are full of superficial chatter, or focus on topics like lowering, widening, or increasing speed, or just feature discussions about spoilers. That doesn't mean you can't find anything useful there, but overall, I think that diesel-specific forums tend to have a much higher level of expertise and involve more in-depth technical discussions.'

Okay, so here's the main point: I've noticed that these forums often have various 'promotional materials' like stickers, t-shirts, etc. Wouldn't it be a good idea for us to have something similar? I mean, I personally wouldn't wear a 'Dieselschrauber' (Diesel Mechanic) t-shirt, but I would definitely put a subtle 'Dieselschrauber' sticker on my vehicle! What do you think about that?

Hi,

I can only agree with you... I'm constantly impressed by the discussions here in the forum, especially when it comes to electronics. Some of the members here really know their stuff in that area. And regarding 'deeper, faster, wider...' I can only confirm that as well.

But a sticker like that... no.

Sure, here is the translation of the text from German to English:

'Hello'

Basically, it's a good idea.

But to keep things the way they are... it's probably best not to.

Regards,
arne

No, I'd rather not have any stickers.

I believe this forum thrives solely on its expertise. Fluff and unnecessary additions are truly not needed here.

Best regards from Bielefeld.

Peter.
