Hello,

I installed a VW Webasto auxiliary heater from a Golf 5 shortly after purchasing my Scirocco in March 2010... The wiring was done according to the wiring diagram from a Golf 6... It worked well until the display on the dashboard, because the heater couldn't be programmed/activated... But I don't mind because I just switch it on and off using the remote control or the buttons on the climate control unit.

Now, just before it got really cold, the heating's electric pump suddenly failed... This caused a whole bunch of errors, including emergency shutdown and locking, due to overheating... Everything was fine and understandable up until that point... Portable heater is no longer used and is only used as a supplementary heater (functioned smoothly).

Yesterday, I installed a new pump and started a test run using VCDS. Everything seemed to be working fine... so I thought.

This morning, it started up on the remote control and, 15 minutes later, only the fresh air fan was running icon_sad.gif. Once the ignition is turned on, the heater then starts as a supplementary heater... Now I've been searching for 20 minutes and re-filled the lines, but it didn't work...

Somewhere, in a measurement, it still said 'Trial run successful' = Nio. But I couldn't get rid of that. What needs to be done for that?

And another thing I noticed is that for one of the readings, the heating system has something labeled 'Personalization,' and it says 'Ventilation' instead. Normally, you can adjust this on the dashboard, but that's not possible for me?!? Maybe that's the issue?

Would appreciate a response.

Best regards

Marc

Providing specific details about where each measurement was taken would be the first step in the right direction icon_wink.gif

Yep, I would strongly suspect that. I'm not clear on why it has changed. But take a look in the adjustment channels of the STH, to see if you can adjust it there.

Hello,

The 'error' with the workflow process in n.io is related to MWB10:

010,4,Test Result,Test Procedure,Result after Test Procedure,Baseline Settings MWB 022.

Value Range: Normal/OK

It's generally okay.

When I try to set the default settings in MWB 22, the 'Group Settings' option is not available... but if I choose 'Start Heating Equipment for Customer Service' at the bottom, it works. I had previously set the filling time to 30 seconds and activated the filling, but nothing has changed?!

In the central heating system, ventilation cannot be changed via VCDS. I have already done this three times. Pulling the plug doesn't help either... icon_evil.gif

Thank you.

I'm surprised that the heater, if it's actually made from a golf ball, can't be programmed using FIS.

Is the wiring definitely correct?

okay, the wiring is correct... it's just plus, ground, and CAN... the start is working over CAN via VCDS... I guess this is because MFA and BAP need it, and since SIW doesn't, it doesn't work...

Hi

soar heating is working again..... the test run must be done with block 22, otherwise it won't be covered... of course, first release the pipe filling time, set it to 30 seconds, and then fill the pipes...

...and then, after personalization, there was still the issue of 'luft' (air)... I then went to 'restore to factory settings' in the MFA (where nothing from the heating system is displayed), and that fixed it.

Best regards
