Acoustic Noise Analysis: Identifying and Locating Sources of Rumble, Vibration, and Clatter (Solution)

The car audio system can be used to locate the source of rumbling or rattling noises that are caused by loose parts or trim inside the vehicle.

The dieselschrauber.de "Dröhn-CD" allows you to safely and reproducibly induce knocking, rattling, or vibrations without having to move the vehicle.

To prevent rattling or loosening, secure all loose parts, for example, with fabric tape. If a part cannot be fixed or properly attached because it is removable or needs to remain movable, applying felt to the contact surfaces is a good solution.
Vibrations caused by loose or unstable parts can be prevented using foam (e.g., from a hardware store).
While not visible in the picture, felt fabric (available at craft stores) is also highly recommended.
