Hello everyone,
To achieve thermal insulation and UV protection, I would like to subtly tint the windows of my car behind the B-pillar.
Actually, from the B-pillar onwards, almost anything is allowed.
Here, you're allowed to stick a Bart Simpson figure to the window with a suction cup, and you're allowed to put an advertisement for a nail salon on the rear window, but if you put even a slightly tinted film on the window, you suddenly need an approval certificate (ABE).
However, I don't want this ABE number on every single sheet. With Foliatec, the ABE number is printed as a sticker on the film, which makes it difficult to use the squeegee properly. They could actually include all the parts, so that you can assemble it yourself later.
I also find the embossed numbers to be a disadvantage. I would like to choose the cut in a way that the number is not visible.
Does anyone even care if I install a tinted film behind the B-pillar without any visible markings? It doesn't seem logical to complain about a film being installed behind the B-pillar. Assuming it's not blinking...
