Hello,

I want to replace the timing belt on my AXR engine for the second time, and while I'm at it, I'd like to replace the mounting screws of the ribbed pulley on the crankshaft as a safety measure.
Does anyone happen to have a part number, or the size, length, and grade information available?

Thank you in advance.

M8 x 37, but why replace them - or are they already damaged? It makes more sense to replace the threaded bolts of the tensioner/idler pulley.

I hope they aren't damaged and that I don't mess anything up. There are proper Allen key sockets available, so nothing should happen. But if something does go wrong, I'd like to have some spares on hand. Since I'm going to be replacing the engine mount bolts anyway, and those need to be ordered, it's not a big deal to have a few extra screws.

M8x37 is yet again one of those VW-specific sizes. icon_rolleyes.gif Those are probably 10.9 grade screws, right?

The tip about using a threaded bolt for the tensioner is also not bad. If necessary, could I also replace it? Is there a part number for that?

'Hopefully,' each screw will be cheaper than having to struggle with damaged material on a rented stage or having to do a sloppy job. I don't have the time or patience for that; I'd rather get those tricky small parts for free or exchange them.

Thank you for your help.
