HI.
"This spring, I experienced a phenomenon where the ABS (Anti-lock Braking System) would frequently activate during normal braking at the last few meters before stopping at a traffic light, and this only started happening after switching to summer tires."
Switching to winter tires instantly resolves the issue.
Yes, I'm driving with two tires of different ages in the front this summer because one was replaced due to damage.
I already find it remarkable that the ABS detects a difference of just 0.7 mm.
Then there will probably be 2 new ones next summer after all...

The very fact that the ABS can also function as a tire pressure monitoring system demonstrates how sensitive the system is.

The RKA (German Federal Network Agency) surprisingly did NOT detect the switch from summer to winter time .

Are the sensors verschandeln and free of rust and metal shavings? I'm not asking for nothing; my French car, although it didn't show any errors, reacted with an unnecessary ABS intervention even during normal braking just before coming to a complete stop. I brush the sensors twice a year during the seasonal tire change using a toothbrush, and that's usually enough.

Or could there be a problem with the sensors? I've seen similar vehicles of the same type with larger discrepancies before, and those didn't cause any issues.
"The system should actually be able to compensate for or account for the 0.7mm."

Hi there,
My summer tires have noticeably larger differences in tread depth and circumference at the front due to the uneven replacement. No issues with the ABS (which is an older system, dating back before 2003).

It consistently appeared and disappeared with the summer tires.
I can't understand how something could have gotten dirty when switching TO the SR mode, only to be cleaned again by chance when switching AWAY from the SR mode.
Or maybe the speed sensors suddenly won't recognize my summer alloy wheels, which I've been using since 2007... (I use steel rims in winter).
Okay, please provide the German text you would like me to translate into English. I will only provide the translation.

The sensor ring in the 3C is integrated into the wheel bearing.
The "narrower" winter tires don't put as much stress on the wheel bearings as your summer tires do. It's possible that the sensor ring is damaged.
I would check the sensor readings shortly before switching to summer tires and then immediately after, comparing the values. If they seem implausible, swap the wheels (just for testing purposes) from the left to the right side and compare the readings again.
