Tempomat (GRA) Golf 5/6/7, Retrofitting Procedure (Solution)

On the example vehicle, a 2.0 TFSI engine is installed. The procedure for retrofitting GRA is generally very similar for vehicles from around 2006.

- Cruise control lever
- Steering column control unit, which supports cruise control.

Procedure:
- Perform a vehicle scan and save it, which includes, among other things, all the coding settings of the installed control units.
- Install new steering column control unit and cruise control lever.
- Recode the engine control unit and steering column control unit. The value from the old control unit will be used as the basis for coding the new steering column control unit. Using the coding assistant in VCDS, configure the GRA in both ECUs.
