Hello dear forum community,
Apparently, a new problem arises every day... many of them only become apparent when using VCDS, and many people find assistance with this
Specifically, this refers to the Audi S3 8L pre-facelift, 209 hp, manufactured in 1999 - the Haldex writes into the fault memory: mechanical fault - intermittent (I unfortunately just cleared the fault memory, so I only have the part number ready)
It is certainly certain that the all-wheel drive does not function at all – no traction control, no wheel slip, no noises, no warning light!
It only became apparent when the man, who was the same one who drove the S3 every day, got back into the car... especially when he had a trailer attached, the front wheels would spin!

VCDS Version: RKS 11.11.5
Data Status: 20130111
Address 22: Allrad Label file: RKS\02D-900-554.lbl
ECU Part Number: 02D 900 554 B
Part and/or Version: HALDEX LSC ECC 0006
Encoding:
Operating number:
VCID: 1F4697D39DFD21E0386
No error codes found.
Even the speaker diagnosis indicates that the unit is not producing any sound, and I suspect that there is a serious malfunction!
Now I have a Haldex including. Difference in outlook, however, which has a slightly different part number than the built-in part ->
02D 525 554 D
My questions:
Can I check something else, perhaps mechanically, to find the actual error?
The oil change hasn't been done yet because there's absolutely no movement - i.e., is the priming pump also defective or simply not being activated?
I hope that this problem hasn't been discussed here before - I haven't been able to find anything about it, so maybe someone could help me!
Thank you and best regards,
Alex
