Hello everyone,
I have a Kangoo, manufactured in 2005, with an engine displacement of 1,461ccm and a power output of 62kW, equipped with a Delphi common rail system.
The vehicle is maintained by the customer themselves. It simply stopped working during the drive. I then replaced the diesel and air filters -> the vehicle could be started again. However, it was drawing air somewhere at the valve attached to the fuel hose (near the high-pressure pump), as the engine stop light illuminated under load during the test drive, but then went out again. When shaking this valve, there were more air bubbles in the return line. I then replaced the supply and return lines (they are only available as a set).
Okay, there are hardly any air bubbles visible anymore. However, the engine stop light is still illuminated under load. Unfortunately, I can't read anything meaningful with my OBD scanner either. Has anyone else experienced a similar problem with a Renault?
Thank you in advance for your help.
Regards,
Thomas.

Have you already accessed the vehicle's data using VCDS via OBD2?

Hello,
Yes, I just checked, and "no errors were saved."
I've now acquired something to measure the amount of leakage oil, and I hope it will provide meaningful results.
Regards,
Thomas.

Hello,
I've now measured the return flow rate. I hope it's clearly visible in the photo.
Regards,
Thomas.

Hello,
Here's a slightly delayed update: The high-pressure pump is broken. I checked the tank, and it's full of shavings. This is likely going to be an expensive repair.
Regards,
Thomas.

 for the feedback!
The mileage until the incident occurred and the general usage profile would still be of interest to me.
