I need to replace the left tie rod on a Skoda Fabia, model 5J, manufactured in 2008, tomorrow.
Due to a TÜV (German technical inspection) failure, there is play in the inner joint.
It doesn't look very easy to repair.
Can anyone give me some advice on how to do this the best way?
So, what exactly needs to be dismantled?
Hello,
It's not a big deal.
"You'll need a 32mm wrench, and if you can't reach it easily, you'll have to loosen the control arm and fold it back a bit."
My Skoda colleague says it should be fairly quick.
