ESP Control Unit Coding - Golf 4 4motion TDI (AJM)

I have installed a Mk60 ESP in my Golf 4 TDI 4motion (engine code: AJM, manufactured in 08/2000), but it currently always displays the error message "Control unit incorrectly coded."

Hintergrund ist, dass das ursprünglich verbaute Mk20 ESP gegen ein Mk60 ESP getauscht wurde. Es wurde der G419 verbaut, Codierbrücke auf 4motion am Stecker gesetzt, Abgleich der Sensoren durchgeführt, Relais zur Bremslichtunterdrückung aus Kabelbaum herausgeflochten etc. Von der Verkabelung her stimmt soweit alles. Als Codierung steht aktuell 23049 drin; diese wird nach Login (Codierung II) auch zunächst wieder als korrekt angenommen. As soon as I disconnect the connection through VCDS, the instrument cluster beeps, and when I immediately read out the brake electronics, the incorrect coding is displayed again.

The encoding is supposed to be the sum of the displayed values from the help section, but I never arrive at the value 23049, and furthermore, the calculated values are not accepted (error in field 31 or something similar).

Do I need to recalculate the coding values for the ESP control unit? Or am I overlooking something in my troubleshooting? The vehicle is currently unregistered and is intended for long-term use as a track tool or similar.

Am I making any calculation errors, or why am I not getting the values of 23046 and 23049 respectively when using the suggested summands in VCDS? Basically, there's always a difference of 4093 or 4096.

What kind of brake do you have? An FS3 or an FN3?

Currently, I have the Brembo ZR18 calipers installed on 334mm rotors, starting from the 2FN 42 base. This setup is mechanically compatible, and the brake pressure readings at the measurement blocks for the G201 system are also normal.

The Golf 4 .:.R32 ESP control unit allows for two coding variants via the hardware-based coding bridges; one for engine code BFH and one for the rest. Initially, my vehicle was hardware-coded for "the rest." After switching the coding bridge to engine code BFH, VCDS still reported "control unit incorrectly coded." By a stroke of luck, I then discovered a broken wire in the coding bridge . After this error was corrected, the .:.R32 ESP could be regularly coded and operated via VCDS on the Golf 4 4motion TDI.
