Hey,
I bought the KKL+Can with a serial interface in 2005, and it served me well for a long time.
However, it hasn't been working for about 2 months now.
The LED on the device is lit green in the vehicle, but the interface is no longer being detected. When searching for the device on COM port 1, the message "Port is already in use" appears.
Tried it on 2 laptops with the latest update, but unfortunately, I experienced the same issue on both.
Is there anything else we can do? Or has the interface completely failed?
Best regards,

Hello,
Quote: | | Port is already in use. |
"Who said that? It looks more like a message from the operating system. It's not possible to have two devices on the same port. Please use a free COM port or make sure there are no conflicts with virtual ports."
Best regards, Rainer.

The error message appears as soon as I try to reconfigure the interface to COM1 in VCDS.
I don't think a virtual port exists.
As I mentioned, I also tried it on two laptops (the same laptops, one with Windows XP and one with Windows 7). The result was the same on both.
I've been using the XP laptop for about 4 years now, and I only use it for VCDS. I haven't made any changes to the software or hardware.
Unfortunately, I can't use any other port. I only have this one serial port.
When I try to select a different port in VCDS, it shows me "No interface found."

Okay, I just checked again.
During the test, he writes to me.
The connection is already in use.
Interface: Not found.
Das schreibt er mir Mit und Ohne Kabel am Com Port. But why?
If I disconnect the cable, it won't be used anymore.

Have you ever checked the Device Manager in Windows? LG, Onkel BM
