Rear side window modification for Audi C4 Avant?

Hello everyone,
I'm currently in the process of restoring a 1996 Audi A6 C4 Avant. I have rust on the rear side windows and the adjacent body panels. To achieve the best possible result, I would like to remove the rear side windows. The rubber seals are no longer available, and it seems the side windows are likely glued in place.

How can I best remove the rear side windows without damaging the rubber seal?

I'm not familiar with the exact details of the C4. If you have the ability to place a wire around the outside, behind the seal, and all the way to the adhesive track, you might be able to separate it from the inside... meaning the wire would be pulled inwards when cutting. To do this, however, you'll need to create two ways to thread the ends of the wire inwards.

Otherwise, remove all the interior panels and carefully cut them out from the inside using a knife.
