How can I best remove the rear side windows without damaging the rubber seal?

I'm not familiar with the exact details of the C4. If you have the ability to place a wire around the outside, behind the seal, and all the way to the adhesive track, you might be able to separate it from the inside... meaning the wire would be pulled inwards when cutting. To do this, however, you'll need to create two ways to thread the ends of the wire inwards.
Otherwise, remove all the interior panels and carefully cut them out from the inside using a knife.
Desperate times call for desperate measures.
It works best when the vehicle has been heated by the sun.
There are also vibrating cutting machines with angled blades. The problem with this method is that the blade can shatter if the adhesive layer is too thin in certain areas.
