I have a G6+ 1.4 TSI (CAXA) with DSG 55,000 km, almost 5 years old, which sometimes makes a noise with the air conditioning compressor.
It's then a speed-dependent running noise that, if present, can be immediately stopped by simply pressing "AC off". Sometimes, it can also be provoked by "AC on".
But it is not always present. After discovering this, I already had my own problems, and now I'm struggling to get it back on track.
Outside, near the engine, the engine noise is louder, and you can actually only hear it inside the car.
Now that "Service now" and the HU (roadworthiness test) are due in September:
Should I gamble on a goodwill repair and get it done by VW, or have everything done at the independent workshop that is scheduled for September and is considered "more capable"?
Dear, please get back to me soon, as the compressor is always running?
Feeling overwhelmed by the overall situation; m
P.S.
The groaning also occurs rhythmically, approximately 2 times per second, when the compressor is turned off.
EDIT FILM
Scenario:
Vehicle is parked
On foot, approximately 2000 rpm - because it was clearly visible while driving.
Turn on/off climate, as shown
To hear:
Rhythm at 0:36
then, in idle mode, "pleasant" warehouse noise

Golf 6 Plus - Air conditioning compressor "making a noise" - Golf_6_plus_Klima.mp4
I've never seen anything like this before. Have you ever checked if any of the air conditioning system's hoses are vibrating/wobbling and hitting the bodywork when "Compressor on"?
I am unfortunately unable to play the videos/sounds. However, I know that there have been extremely high rates of failures and supplier changes specifically with the A3, particularly with some older compressor models.

Sorry if I'm interrupting, but I'm just seeing large grey fields in the browser for the videos and sounds.
I suspect that Adobe Flash is being used here, which I, however, do not install due to security concerns. Above the gray fields, there is a filename.
Is it possible to simply download these files using my own means and then play them myself?
Thank you and please forgive me for the off-topic comment....
