Hi...
I'm having another problem with a Peugeot Boxer, 2.2 HDI AEA, manufactured in 2008.
After I broke down on the highway with severe jolting and a huge black cloud of smoke, I first read the error codes.
He told me that injector cylinder two has a faulty setting or there's a communication problem.
The injector was removed, and it was noticeable that the tip was already deformed.
Installed a new injector and calibrated it. However, the engine still ran extremely poorly and produced a lot of blue smoke. Then I thought, "Okay, maybe it's also the turbo."
It turned out that it was also damaged. The Motair oil test indicated that there was diesel in the oil, which is probably due to the removal of the injectors. I made quite a mess. Otherwise, there's nothing else, not even an explanation for why the turbo failed after only 150,000 km.
No influence from foreign particles, etc.
Now, some things seem fishy to me...
The mass airflow sensor is reading a value of 0, regardless of the throttle position.
AGR valve control position also shows a value of 0 (but according to the actuator diagnosis, it is okay).
And it's noticeable that the rail pressure is almost three times higher than the specified target value.
He hammers like crazy and runs extremely poorly. I can understand that the pressure regulating valve might be stuck, but I can't explain the values of the mass airflow sensor; it's actually a new one.
It's obvious that he's either getting too much diesel or not enough air, or maybe both.
What's the best way to proceed now? Isn't the LMM (likely referring to a mass airflow sensor) affected by the rail pressure?
Sorry for the long explanation, but I had to describe everything.
Best, Jan.
