Hello community,
"So, I'm having a problem with my clutch. At 70,000 km, the reinforcing ring on the original clutch broke off from the actuation teeth, which also damaged the dual-mass flywheel (DMF). I thought it was a material defect, so I replaced the DMF, the clutch, and the central release bearing. Now, I'm having new problems with the new clutch: it jerks when starting, there's a steel-like clacking sound when the engine is cold, which disappears when the engine reaches operating temperature. Also, if I press the pedal halfway or all the way down, there's a strange noise that even the passenger can hear. This week, I also replaced the slave cylinder because the clutch pedal got stuck in the middle once, but there hasn't been even the slightest improvement.""And all the symptoms are still present; I suspect a new faulty clutch release bearing."
What do you think about it? Thanks in advance for your help.
Your description is not very detailed. If you want to receive quick and competent assistance, please follow these rules:
What was the cause?
What did you do?
What kind of vehicle is it?
The more details, the better. And they should be organized and without any punctuation.
Images are meant to illustrate things. I find some of yours to be blurry and it's difficult to make out much detail in them.
Okay, let's start from the beginning. Which new clutch kit did you get? Is this for the Passat mentioned in your signature? Have you already inspected the clutch cable?
Viele Grüße
Andreas

Thank you for your tip; I forgot to explain a few things.
Yes, this is a Passat Alltrack with a 2.0 TDI engine, specifically the CFFB engine code.
Replaced the clutch with a Sachs ZMS unit, Sachs XTend components, and a Sachs central release bearing.
3. Have the fuel pump replaced at a Volkswagen authorized service center using an original part.
I'll try to record some audio files today so that the sounds can be heard clearly.
I don't know why the pictures are blurry; they appear sharp on my device, even when zoomed in.
I've now determined that the central release bearing for the clutch is definitely defective.
Weil jetzt das Lager drin Geräusche macht bei betätigter Kupplung und das bei neu Einbau vor 6000 km. DAnke Sachs.
Unfortunately, I cannot upload the audio recordings because the m4a format is not supported.
So, today I installed a new Sachs clutch kit and unfortunately experienced a major disappointment from Sachs, as you can see in the photos. After only 7,000 km, the clutch disc was only engaging on the outer edge, the pressure plate bearing was misaligned, and the plastic components were completely loose. Also, the dual-mass flywheel (DMF) is still making noise after 7,000 km, which was also causing noises when the engine was cold.
