You can program it using VCDS, and you don't need a login for that. It's also much cheaper. And it's not exclusively available at the dealership.

This would eliminate the need for the WFS (Whole Key System) as well. }
Replacing radio modules in the 4E system isn't straightforward because everything is still on a circuit board, and even the transponders are soldered onto that board.
Before I buy new keys, which cost CHF 250 here in Switzerland, I've decided to solder transponders onto used 4E remote key fobs. I will report back on whether it works.
