Hello!
For a 1999 Audi A3 TDI with 110 horsepower (AFH engine), the following pins are connected on the OBD diagnostic connector: 1, 4, 5, 7, and 16.
The reading of the control units functions smoothly via connectors 4, 7, and 16.
What is the purpose of connectors 1 and 7?
I couldn't find anything about that in the forum!
Sure, here's the translation:
"Thank you in advance."
Bernhard.

At Audi, SEAT, Škoda, and Volkswagen:
Pin 1: Terminal 15a (ignition positive, fused).
Pin 2: J1850 Bus+
Pin 4: Ground.
Pin 5: Signal ground.
Pin 6: CAN-High (J-2284)
Pin 7: ISO 9141-2 K-line.
Pin 10: J1850 bus.
Pin 13: Terminal 30a (permanently energized, fused).
Pin 14: CAN-Low (J-2284)
Pin 15: L-line (or 2nd ISO 9141-2 K-line, depending on the vehicle).
Pin 16: Battery (+) voltage.
The main power cables are usually bundled together. Unfortunately, nobody bothers with separate power lines anymore.
