Does the old metallic pressure sensor that sits directly on the turbocharger not exist as a separate part?
Now we need a completely new turbocharger, which will cost over 800 euros.
The knob is completely stuck and won't turn, but the rod underneath can still be moved with a screwdriver or your finger.
'The error message 'Intake manifold pressure regulation difference exceeded' keeps appearing, and then the car only runs for about 60 kilometers.'
If you clear the error and only use 1/4 to 1/2 pedal travel, you can even reach 80 km/h, but if you let it rev up even a little, the error comes back, and the engine barely runs anymore!
Take a look at one of the major online auction sites. You can sometimes find broken turbochargers (with a broken shaft) there for a very low price.
I paid around 30 euros for a defective charger with a working casing.
You could also obtain the can from a turbocharger reconditioner (e.g., Schüttler), but it would then not be as inexpensive as the alternative mentioned above .
