VCDS 26.3.0: New release with expanded vehicle support and improved auto-scan functionality

Ross-Tech has released VCDS version 26.3.0. The update includes support for new and upcoming vehicle models, a corrected automatic scan for 4-digit ECU addresses, and numerous improvements to coding and diagnostics.

Support for new models
Release 26.3.0 expands vehicle coverage to include new and upcoming models from the Volkswagen Group (VW, Audi, Seat, Škoda, Bentley, Lamborghini). Vehicles of recent production benefit from the updated engine control unit (ECU) recognition.

Auto-Scan: 4-digit addresses directly accessible
A bug that occurred when directly calling 4-digit control unit addresses via the auto-scan function has been fixed. Especially in newer vehicles with MQB-evo and MEB platforms, which increasingly use 4-digit addresses (e.g., 00C6, 00B7), the direct selection function now works reliably.

Improved query for missing control units
The query for missing control units and addresses has been optimized in combination with incomplete installation lists. This reduces misdiagnoses and speeds up the scanning process for vehicles with partial equipment.

Immobilizer: More information visible
The display of immobilizer information has been expanded, including performance class 2 and other data relevant to the immobilizer system. Helpful for key programming and the replacement of comfort control units.

Protocols & Records: Enhanced Headers
The headers of logs, measurement recordings, and memory dumps now contain more contextual information. This makes it easier to track diagnostic sessions and share logs in forums.

Coding: LCode plugin updated
The LCode encoding plugin assistant has been updated. This allows for faster and more organized implementation of long-term coding and adaptation changes.

Translations and error messages revised
Numerous translations and error messages have been corrected and refined. The user guidance in the German interface has been improved in many areas.

ECU documentation expanded
The database of label files and ODX/ASAM data has been significantly expanded. More control units now provide labeled measurement data blocks and coding aids directly within VCDS.
