Terminal 58d - Short circuit to ground

I have the following error code in the control unit J519 of an Audi RS Q3, and I can't find the cause.

All switches, both front footwell lights, both Bose speakers, both 12V sockets in the center console, both lights above the sun visors, all reading lights in the headliner and trunk are working correctly. Otherwise, I don't see anything unusual.

Even http://wiki.ross-tech.com/wiki/index.php/01064 doesn't really help me. As I said, the lights inside are working, and even the light switch itself seems to be fine.

Ich hatte mal die Leuchte im Handschuhfach gegen eine original LED getauscht (habe LED-Innenraum-Paket, nur das Handschuhfach ist noch Glühobst), dies aber wieder rückgängig gemacht, da ich hier die Ursache vermutet habe. Lewithout success.

Does anyone have any other ideas about what might be causing this error? It's been in the control unit for at least half a year, and it reappears relatively quickly after being cleared.

Perhaps the coding of the vehicle's onboard computer was incorrectly modified, and a pin is now wired differently than what the control unit expects?

The idea itself is not bad.

In the control unit 09, I once experimentally programmed the function "alarm system acknowledgment when opening and closing," but I actually reversed that setting.

There's indeed a difference at the 12th position (now "1" instead of the previous "5") – that even belongs to byte 5, which I was messing with, right? I need to take a closer look at that. Thanks!

That didn't achieve anything. While bit 2 in byte 5 was still disabled ("Horn Confirmation Adaptation blocked (Adaptation Channel 010/011 & MFA+/FIS/MMI)") – for some reason that's written in English – it has nothing to do with the lighting, and furthermore, it didn't fix the problem; the error immediately reappears.

However, I did notice something about the light switch itself. The outer symbols only glow faintly and briefly after the ignition is turned on, and then they go dark, while the inner ones continue to shine brightly. This initially looks strange and could indicate a short circuit in the switch itself - which, at least, lasted for 3 months after delivery .

Current status: The car was at the workshop today, but the problem isn't with the light switch itself (the lights in the overhead console aren't working either). Instead, the control unit is not sending the corresponding signal. A new control unit has been ordered.

New control unit, same error. The wiring harness has now been inspected and it was found that three cables are pinched under the center console from the factory and are shorting to ground. The wiring harness is now being repaired.
