Key Programming VW T4 2000: How-To Guide

Hi.

I need to have a new key programmed for my T4. It's a T4, manufactured in 2000, first registered in 04/2000, with an immobilizer system (as indicated by the "W3" engraving on the key), which corresponds to the third generation.
Problem: The car was out of service for four months due to engine damage, and the battery was dead. While charging the battery, the terminals were briefly connected in reverse polarity.
Now the engine is reassembled and running, but the immobilizer is malfunctioning.
"Reading with Lite indicates an unauthorized key."

Now, on my keychain, I only have two stickers: On one side, a black sticker with white lettering showing the last digits of the VIN. On the back, there are two lines on a white sticker with black lettering: "41W3" on the top line, and a five-digit number code on the bottom line. According to my research, these are information related to the immobilizer generation and for duplicating the key, but not login credentials for the WFS device?
There's nothing to redeem here. Am I correct in assuming that there's no login included for the WFS?

If I'm interpreting all the information from the forum and the rest of the internet correctly, I have no way to program the keys myself. The only options seem to be taking the car to VW (which would mean having it towed) or removing the WFS control unit (is this also in the instrument cluster for a T4 from 2000, or is it a separate unit?) and having a professional read the login data.

If so, does anyone have a good, affordable recommendation? I'd prefer to avoid the hassle of taking it to a VW dealership.

That's correct; the login is always hidden under a scratch-off field.

The T4 has an external IMMO box, located on the right side next to the instrument cluster. Remove the frame, remove the instrument cluster, and then you can remove it.

Unless you have access to a VW system or someone who can extract the login information, nothing will work.
