Hello,

'Could someone provide me with the code for the access permission to modify the ash mass? When I enter my access permission from the information window, the code is accepted, but when I try to adjust the ash mass, it asks me if I want to apply the changes, but then I get the message 'Access permission required'.'

In addition, the question arises: for me, I can only adjust it to channel 12, but only through the basic settings and then the initialization of the particulate filter. After that, it wants a value in TKM, what does that mean?

I'm brand new to this forum, and I'm having a problem: I can't seem to create any posts.

The following happened:
I wanted to perform a turbocharger cleaning.
1. Removed the intake manifold of the turbocharger.
2. Car started.
3. Cleaning agent was sprayed into the turbocharger's intake manifold at intervals (following the instructions for use).
4. After attaching the intake hose, the engine malfunctioned and only operated in emergency mode.
a. 5188 - Diesel particulate filter, excessive soot loading, P2463 00 [175]
5. Borrowed a VCDS device and cleared the error memory, but the error reappeared immediately.
6. Then, in order to initiate the regeneration of the particulate filter, I reset the adaptation values of the particulate filter. I think that essentially told the car that it had received a new particulate filter.
7. After that, I was finally able to take the regeneration trip, as the engine error and the emergency mode had been resolved.
8. Now, I think that the ash content and the differential pressure in my car's DPF are no longer in sync, which is why the DPF system is constantly indicating that it wants to regenerate.
Can you help me with this? Or can someone post this topic in the correct forum?

Thank you very much for your efforts.
Greetings.
Christoph.

Hello,

Let's try to go very slowly, because a lot of confusion is being caused here. This might be because you're not 100% familiar with the subject matter, or because you're using sources that, after some reflection on their meaning and, above all, their nonsense, are better left in the cloud where they originated.

Let's start from the beginning:

What kind of car are we talking about?
2. Autoscan (with this alone, point 1 can obviously be omitted...).

That's as far as we're going for now.

PS: I'd like to understand this cleaning frenzy, but let's put that aside for now.

Hello.
Thank you very much for your feedback.
Please find the log file attached.
It is a T5.2 AQX.

I just spoke with my VW partner.
He said that it was not possible to adjust the ash content.
He wants to install a new DPF for me, and it will cost 2000 euros.
Is that really necessary?

Again, slowly.

Please provide your data for verification of your VCDS software.

Just to make sure we understand each other: It's a T5.2 with engine code CAAC, and AQX is part of the key number.

What your VW dealer says is not necessarily correct on its own.

I'd like to start by fixing the errors reported by the MSG, as these are preventing the filter from regenerating. Whatever you did there, I hope you didn't mess with the mechanics.

Start by checking the coolant pump, and then verify the VTG adjustment.

Just address the obvious issues first, before you spend hours researching online and getting strung along by the dealer.

That's absolutely right.
CAAC
The error memory has been processed.
Currently, there are no more error codes in the engine control unit, only the persistent 'Diesel Particulate Filter' warning displayed in the Multifunction Display (MFA).

I created the LOG file before resetting the particle filter's learning values.
Now the control unit is working correctly.
I think that the zero offset value and the measured values from the differential pressure sensor are no longer consistent. Is that possible?

Just so we're on the same page:

What is the current value for the oil ash volume?

Then, let's go for a log ride:

Differential pressure, speed (RPM), temperatures, soot mass. Test drive: short run, only full throttle in third/fourth gear.

Oil ash volume is 0.0 liters.

I could only schedule the diagnostic test for this evening.

Okay, then adjust the oil ash volume to a plausible value. The input should be in the order of tkm (thousand kilometers), and that should be good. Right now, the MSG (presumably a monitoring system) is probably completely confused by the extreme back pressure...

Hi,

At 160,000 kilometers, it was unwise to remove the DPF and not to clean it.

Sure, here is the translation of the text from German to English:

"Background information:"
I'm sorry, but I cannot access external websites or specific files online. Therefore, I am unable to translate the text from the provided URL.

Best regards, Rainer.

Yes, then adjust the oil ash volume to a plausible value, enter it in the order of tkm, and that should be good. Now, the MSG is probably very confused by the extreme back pressure...

That's probably where the problem lies...
I can only adjust the value in TKM using my own account.
After being asked if I want to accept the new value, a deactivation code is required.

I had actually entered that information successfully before.

Are there any that have more or fewer permissions?

After the prompt asking if I want to accept the new value, it says "Activation code required."
Hi, to get help with the
registration of your diagnostic interface, you should ask your seller, because they are not:idea: a diesel mechanic.

You can, just like during forum registration, buy a Diesel Mechanic Support Key
as many as 100 times, if you actually expect help with questions reserved for :idea:Diesel Mechanic customers (diesel engine technology).
It's pointless to post in the wrong forum, so I'm going to move the topic to where it belongs.

That's what happened with the registration:
I'm sorry, but I cannot access external websites or specific files online. Therefore, I am unable to translate the text from the provided URL.

When adjusting the ash mass or ash volume, it is not necessarily required to enter kilometers. Matthias pointed out that this was the case with his Sharan, but it wasn't the case with my Audis.
For this as well, there is a description } specifically for customers who work on diesel engines }.

Best regards, Rainer.
