Hello,
Asubject:
After starting the engine, the oil pressure warning light blinks continuously, and the tachometer remains stuck at 0. When the accelerator is pressed, the tachometer suddenly comes to life, briefly jumps to its maximum reading, and then functions normally, while the oil pressure warning light turns off. Afterwards, everything seems to work correctly, but this irritating behavior repeats every time the engine is started. More recently, it has also occasionally occurred while the engine is running (mostly at lower RPMs, such as when idling, but also while driving). The ground connection to the engine block is okay, and the alternator does not have its own ground cable.
"Does anyone have any idea what might be going on? Before the clutch failure, the instrument cluster was working perfectly fine, no problems at all."
