First of all, a warm greeting to everyone in this forum...
I'm also new here. The topic of the DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter) applies to me as well; mine is currently being cleaned by the company Barten.
Yesterday I had a phone conversation with an employee of the company, and he informed me that for older vehicles like mine, manufactured in 2007 with a 2.0 TDI BRE engine, a TPI (Technical Product Information) likely needs to be installed first in order to reset the control unit regarding the ash value.
According to his statement, older vehicles might experience problems without TPI (Temperature Plausibility Indicator) because, at the time, it was not anticipated that DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter) filters would need to be cleaned in the future, and therefore, the values would have to be reset.
Is there any truth to this statement, or can I easily correct the value using a VCDS even without having a TPI (Transmission Parameter Identification) adapter?
"Of course, I also contacted Audi yesterday to inquire about the status of my engine updates, as I was told last year that they were up to date. However, I unfortunately received a response stating that they cannot verify this information regarding the TPI and the ash content."
Since I haven't been able to find any information about "named TPI" anywhere, I would like to raise this question because I am a little unsure of what to think about it...?!
Thank you very much...
Best regards,
Christian man lernt nie aus...

I registered here because I wanted to learn more about cleaning a DPF. My DPF was cleaned by the company "barten," and at the same time, I ordered a VCDS online and received it as a gift. It wasn't purchased through your forum, but rather from AI, which probably means I can't expect any help from you. That's too bad, because my problem is significant. I'm not getting any help from Audi, and next week I want to go to the Baltic Sea with my trailer and my daughter...
Of course, I would be willing to pay for the costs associated with participating in this forum and receiving help to solve my problem. man lernt nie aus...

Great, then the last two points in my previous post might be something for you to look into.
