Good evening icon_smile.gif

I drive a Golf 6 GTI, manufactured in 2010, with engine code CCZB and a DSG transmission.
"I've been experiencing a performance issue in the engine's RPM range between 2000 and 2300 RPM for quite some time, especially when driving in 'D' mode and accelerating from a standstill with about half throttle."
The DSG (dual-clutch gearbox) also intends to upshift within that specific RPM range.
You can really notice it during the gear changes from 1st to 2nd and from 2nd to 3rd. The intake sound at that moment always reminds me of my old moped, when you give it too much throttle with the wrong fuel mixture or when the engine has just started and is still cold. It's like a dull, throaty rumble.
In all the logs I've checked so far, I don't see anything unusual. The boost pressure builds up smoothly without any drops and reaches the target value, always between 2100 and 2200 RPM (with the standard tuning). The fuel rail pressure is always at the target value, and the measured air mass also appears normal.

To get rid of the problem, I first swapped the rubber SUV for one with a piston, and yesterday I also upgraded to the GFB DV+.
I replaced the original wastegate with an adjustable one from Forge, which I have pre-set to a fail-safe open pressure of approximately 0.3 to 0.035 bar. This allows for very precise boost pressure control.
At the same time as replacing the pressure sensor, I also replaced the N75 valve and all of its hoses.
Just now, I took a look at the throttle body and cleaned it, and there were only very minimal deposits in it.

Now, my question to you icon_smile.gif.
Can anyone give me some advice on the best way to approach this? Are there any specific diagnostic tools that might provide clues, or any parts that could be causing the power loss, such as the fuel injectors?
The only thing I've noticed in a WOT log so far is that the injection timing is slightly retarded in that RPM range. At 1800 RPM, it's at -2.30° BTDC, drops to -3.8° BTDC at 2100 RPM, and then increases relatively evenly from there to +9.8° BTDC at 4500 RPM.

Thank you in advance for your help! I am grateful for any small tip that helps me along the way.
Have a good evening, you icon_smile.gif.

Today, I logged the boost pressure, air mass, and N75 values again.
In the log, the first gear is 4th, then 3rd gear, with automatic shifting to 4th in the limiter.
Everything looks good, except the hole is still there in the DSG's D mode.
Could it possibly be due to the DSG itself?

Regards,
Hannes.

Please create a log for KPower, but make sure to read the instructions beforehand.

Then you'll be able to see whether the performance issue is real or just perceived.

Again: Please read the KPower instructions and act accordingly. I will immediately discard any nonsensical or irrelevant content.

Best regards, Rainer.

Hi Rainer,

It's not visible or noticeable in the WOT logs. It only happens in D mode when I'm not accelerating fully.
The log file you attached was recorded while driving with Tiptronic, and as far as I can tell, everything appears normal.

That's why I'm posting this thread, because I don't know how to log this kind of data when it's not being driven in World of Tanks.

Are there any specific measurement blocks in the DSG that should be monitored during gear shifting?

Regards,
Hannes.

Is there anyone here who has an idea?
It feels like someone is holding the car back in that RPM range, especially after the DSG has shifted.

Es fühlt sich an als ob jemand das Auto in diesem Drehzahlbereich festhält, vor allem nachdem das DSG geschaltet hat.

If it's only operating at partial load, the dataset will simply be programmed accordingly. Do you want a psychoanalysis from the person who programmed it, explaining why they did it that way?

The above question is purely rhetorical.
