Hello.
from North Rhine-Westphalia and the Lippe region.
I'm Lars, I'm 42 years old, and I found this forum after purchasing the VCDS software.
I drive a 2008 Passat with a BMR engine.
Last summer, while I was on vacation in Denmark, the oil pump drive broke down.
The vehicle was towed home, and I had the AGM module refurbished.
Everything went perfectly; the engine ran without any problems.
At 215,000 km (approximately 133,000 miles), and now about 10,000 km (6,200 miles) later, roughly two weeks ago, we started hearing the turbocharger when accelerating; it was getting louder.
I actually want to fix this now. Yesterday, I pulled out the dipstick while the engine was running, and a lot of smoke came out.
It wasn't like that before.
I removed the hose in front of the turbo, and it's heavily contaminated with oil and sludge.
The turbo's wave has a lot of room to develop.
Now my question is: where does the smoke come from?
Motor selber?? Piston rings?
Or perhaps due to a turbocharger that is no longer functioning properly?
I would be grateful for any advice or tips.
Happy Sunday everyone!
Regards,
Lars.
