Enjoy your meal.
I just can't seem to get past this.
When I finally gave my Passat some power after 4 months and tried to drive it, the turbo hasn't been working since. No boost, nothing... *vomit*
The MKL light is on, and the preheating indicator is blinking.
I took a look at the ODB (On-Board Diagnostics) data, see the photos...
I've also done some research and replaced some components.
Additional water pump.
Turbomagnetic pressure valve.
Vacuum solenoid valve and exhaust flap.
Pressure transducers, turbochargers.
and yet, nothing has changed.
"When I clear the error memory, the check engine light (MKL) goes off, but the underlying problem remains."
"Can anyone suggest any other possible solutions for the repair, perhaps based on experiences with similar symptoms in other vehicles?"

Hello,
KOBD2Check, VCDS, or the OBD diagnostic tool from the shop would have displayed the errors in plain text.
As far as I can see, the current problem seems to be with the electrical circuit for the EGR system.
It should be very straightforward; ideally, a badger has chewed through the cable.
Please provide more details about the Passat; it's been around almost as long as I have.
Best regards, Rainer.

Okay, here it is, the Passat.

Okay, check the cable connection to the AGR valve! Given the year of manufacture and the engine type, it should be electric.

Yes, and? Why don't you check the wiring harness?

Because the wiring harness is completely fine.
The error could be fixed very simply... It's bad enough that not even an open workshop could be organized.
It was a small 10A fuse located in the box at the front of the engine compartment.
The engine started, but the error message was gone. However, it then made strange noises and stalled.
There are no error codes stored, but the intake manifold flap motor is now completely silent, even though it used to make a noise after the engine was turned off.
Now I haven't started the engine again because I'm afraid it will break down even more.

What nonsense are you talking about? You just wrote that the error has been fixed...
I'm out.

Everything has been resolved. I was able to fix everything myself. That's what happens when you clear the ECU while the engine is running.
Alright, he's purring like a kitten again. A sporadic error occurred during the test drive. P2099: Turbocharger boost pressure too low.
I need to check where the leak is coming from.
Have a great weekend, everyone.
