According to the date and time, I must have started the car there, and then drove normally (without any problems). The return trip was also uneventful, and the subsequent 2-4 engine starts (covering a distance of 40 km) have also been fine.

Could something like this happen occasionally, or does it indicate a potentially larger, upcoming problem? And what exactly is it?

Hello,

I suspect it's a message on the CAN bus, specifically "Ignition off duration," that is being incorrectly transmitted by the engine control unit.
It's likely due to a low battery voltage; the voltage readings in the current environment are around 10.x V.

Therefore, and unless any modifications have been made to the engine control unit, instrument cluster, or immobilizer, it is best to wait and see.
Clear the error and see if it reappears.

Best regards, Rainer.

Okay, thank you.

"Nothing modified" is, of course, relative. It has different software installed and different spark plugs, but that's all been the case for "ages," and the engine control unit (ECU) has never complained about it.

I need to check the battery voltage. It's also possible that the starter motor drained it during startup, right?

Yes, as I said, I would first continue to observe.

Best regards, Rainer.
