Hi,
I replaced the turbo, the EGR valve, and the differential pressure sensor on that vehicle.
The DPF has been cleaned.
What's the best way to approach learning everything from scratch?
Do I need an access code to initialize the particulate filter?
Can someone give me that?
Before the cleaning and regeneration, I tried a forced regeneration, which resulted in the error code P0299, indicating that the boost pressure regulation limit was exceeded.
The error is still occurring.
I wanted to relearn everything from scratch and then see if the problem was gone.

Best regards,

Hello,

The error will not disappear. You can recalibrate the differential pressure sensor (not strictly necessary, but it speeds up the learning process), and the ash mass needs to be reset.

If the boost pressure is too low and the turbocharger is working correctly, you either still have a blockage in the exhaust system, the EGR valve is not closing properly, the temperature sensor on the turbocharger is not sealed, there is insufficient vacuum at the variable geometry turbocharger (due to a leak in the system, a faulty solenoid valve, or a failing vacuum pump), or there is a leak in the charge air system.

"Is there a specialized article on this topic? Please use the search function. My list is not exhaustive."

And the Autoscan feature is missing.

Best regards, Rainer.

Hi,
"My main goal right now is to completely revamp everything."
I need to initialize the particulate filter, which requires an access code. The EGR valve is new and has been adapted. I have cleared the learned values for the differential pressure sensor.
How do I reset the ash mass? I couldn't find any information on that.
Is this the particle filter initialization with the KM value?

I'll do the autoscanning tomorrow.

Best regards,

Hi,
Just like in this case, the particulate filter needs to be initialized in my system as well.
I need the access code for that.

/viewtopic.php?t=24243&highlight=ashes

That would adjust the ash content.
How do I get Cide?

Regards,

Normally, the VCDS code should appear as a hint text when the mouse cursor is moved over the login input field. Is this not the case for you, or was this trick not yet known?

Hi,
For me, only the two codes for regeneration are displayed.

Best regards,

That's not correct. In your Screenshot, it says e.g..

That doesn't mean it's exclusively about regeneration!

In newer engine control units, the differential pressure sensor is often adjusted using the "Adjustment" function.

I must have missed that.
Now I was able to initialize it.

"Thank you."
